Disguised Bulk is a wholesale supplier of research compounds. Every product we list is sold strictly for Research Use Only (RUO). This policy explains what RUO means, the purpose these products are intended for, and the obligations that every member accepts before placing an order on disguisedbulk.com.

1. RUO Definition
RUO means Research Use Only. It is an FDA designation for products that are in the laboratory research phase, often including in-vitro diagnostic components, and that are not intended for clinical diagnostic use. A product designated RUO is supplied to support research activity, not to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition in humans or animals.
2. RUO Explained
Intended Purpose
RUO products are solely for basic research, pharmaceutical research, or the development of new tests. They are not intended for diagnosing a disease or condition in a patient, and they are not intended for any therapeutic, clinical, or household use. Each item sold by Disguised Bulk is offered to qualified members for these research purposes only.
Regulatory Exemption
Products labeled “For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.” are exempt from most FDA medical-device requirements, such as premarket approval, premarket clearance, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) obligations that apply to clinical and diagnostic products. This exemption depends on the product being used as labeled, strictly within a research setting.
Labeling Requirement
Prominent RUO labeling is a critical warning that helps prevent use in patient testing or other clinical applications. Labeling a product as RUO when it is in fact intended for clinical use is illegal and can lead to FDA enforcement action. Members are responsible for keeping RUO labeling intact and for never representing these products as suitable for any non-research purpose.
3. FDA Oversight
The FDA determines a product’s intended use based on the totality of the circumstances, including its labeling, its advertising, and the sales practices surrounding it. Selling RUO products to clinical laboratories that are known to use them for diagnostic testing can establish an improper intended use, even where the label says Research Use Only. Disguised Bulk markets and sells these products on a research basis only, and we expect every member to source and use them accordingly.
4. The Role of the FTC
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) holds overlapping jurisdiction over advertising and promotion. The FTC works to ensure that marketing claims are truthful, not misleading, and supported by science. In general terms, the FDA focuses on the safety and effectiveness of a product, while the FTC focuses on the accuracy of how that product is advertised. Disguised Bulk does not make therapeutic, diagnostic, or performance claims about any product offered through this site.
5. Important Notice
All products sold by Disguised Bulk are strictly for research use only. Any use outside of laboratory research is prohibited and may be illegal. These products are not intended for human or animal consumption and are not for use in food, cosmetics, supplements, or any in-vivo application.

6. Member Agreement
Disguised Bulk is built for serious laboratories and qualified research professionals. All buyers must be 21 or older, and everyone agrees to these Research Use Only terms before entering. All sales are final. We take regulatory compliance seriously and we expect our members to do the same.
